About the Role
As our Marketing Intern, you’ll help produce the content that goes out under Revenue Rocket’s name, including podcast episodes, blog and social posts, video clips, landing pages, and campaign copy. You’ll work closely with our executive team and learn how M&A works in the IT services industry, with skills that carry into any marketing career.
As a small firm, we offer less structure than a large corporate program and more hands-on responsibility from the start.
Responsibilities
- Edit and produce our weekly Shoot the Moon podcast, including audio editing, show notes, and publishing.
- Create short video clips from the podcast for LinkedIn and other social channels.
- Turn our existing content into new blog posts, newsletter sections, and social posts.
- Build and update WordPress landing pages, including pages for our active deals.
- Draft campaign copy, such as email subject lines, ads, and social posts, for the team to review before it goes out.
- Report basic performance results from Google Analytics and our campaign tools.
- Help keep the content calendar and asset library organized.
Working with Confidential Information
Many of our clients explore a sale confidentially, without telling their employees, customers, or competitors. You’ll help create and review the public materials for these deals, such as landing pages, M&A teasers, and campaign copy. You’ll see first-hand how real transactions are marketed.
What We Value
We look for the same three qualities in everyone at Revenue Rocket:
- Passionate about tech. You’re curious about the technology industry. Experience in it isn’t required.
- Self-starter. You notice what needs doing, take it on, and ask questions along the way.
- Straight shooter. You give your honest view and raise problems early.
Qualifications
- Currently a junior or senior in an undergraduate program.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfortable using AI tools in your work. Experience with several, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot, is a plus, along with a sense of where each one helps and where it falls short.
- Strong organizational skills and dependability in meeting weekly publishing deadlines.
- Authorized to work in the US. We are unable to sponsor visas for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following:
- Audio or video editing (Descript, Audition, Premiere, Riverside, or similar).
- WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, X, or Reddit.
- Design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
What You’ll Gain
- Published work for your portfolio, credited to you where appropriate.
- Direct exposure to M&A and the tech-enabled services industry.
